Welcome to The Parent Connect!

If you're reading this while reheating your coffee for the third time, answering your child's 47th question of the day, or trying to remember what you walked into the room for—you've found your people.

I'm a mom of four, part of a beautifully blended family, and I work full-time in the corporate world. Like so many parents, I wear a lot of hats. Every day I'm juggling work deadlines, school schedules, activities, meal planning, laundry, emotions (my kids' and sometimes my own), and trying to remember that I'm a person outside of being "Mom."

It's not easy.

Some days it feels like everything is under control. Most days...it doesn't.

Just as I started writing this post, I was interrupted to find a phone charger and answer an urgent question: "How many minutes does it take to heat up microwave macaroni?" That's parenthood in a nutshell. It's constant, unpredictable, and somehow both exhausting and hilarious.

But here's what I've realized.

Somewhere between surviving each day and checking everything off our to-do lists, we can lose sight of what we really want: meaningful time with our kids, genuine connections with other adults, and the confidence that we're doing our best—even when it doesn't feel like enough.

That's why I created The Parent Connect.

This isn't about being the perfect parent. It's about building a community where we can be honest about the challenges, celebrate the wins (big and small), and talk about the things parents don't always feel comfortable talking about.

Here, you'll find:

• Family-friendly activities and local adventures

• Reviews of parks, restaurants, attractions, and businesses around Cape Coral—from a parent's perspective (and with my kids' unfiltered opinions!)

• A place where parents can connect, encourage one another, and remember that they're not alone

One thing you'll quickly learn about my family is that we're always looking for ways to make everyday life an adventure. Whether we're exploring a new playground, trying a local restaurant, visiting a hidden gem, or discovering a fun weekend activity, I'll be sharing our real experiences—the good, the messy, and everything in between.

My hope is that The Parent Connect becomes more than a blog. I want it to become a trusted community for families throughout Cape Coral and the surrounding areas—a place where parents can find support, discover local resources, and feel connected.

Because parenting was never meant to be done alone.
