Parenting Was Never Meant to Be Done Alone

"It takes a village."
I’ve heard that saying so many times, and I always wondered…
Where do you actually find this village everyone talks about?
Because parenting is a lot.
Between work, school, activities, appointments, meals, homework, and trying to keep our kids happy and busy, it can feel like we’re constantly trying to keep up.
And somehow, we’re expected to know everything.
Which activities are worth trying? What camps are actually good?Where are the best family events?Who can we trust when we need help? How do we support our kids as they grow?
The truth is… I don’t have all the answers.
And I’m learning that’s okay.
Some of the best advice I’ve received hasn’t come from Google. It’s come from other parents, teachers, friends, and people who have simply said, “We’ve been there too.”
That’s why I’m creating The Parent Connect.
Not because I have it all figured out — but because I’m looking for the village too.
I want this to become a place where families can find trusted recommendations, discover local activities, share resources, and connect with people who truly care about our community.
I’ll be sharing our family adventures around Cape Coral — the places we visit, things we try, and the honest opinions of my kids (because we all know they’ll tell the truth!).
But I also want this to grow into something bigger: a resource for families with kids of all ages — from keeping little ones busy to navigating the teenage years, college prep, scholarships, and everything in between.
Because parenting doesn’t stop after the toddler years. The questions just change.
And maybe the village we’ve all been looking for is something we can build together.
Welcome to The Parent Connect. ❤️
